Zinc Oxide Solar Barrier Lotion | Baby safe Sun Shield

In order to protect my children's skin, without using artificial chemicals that absorb into their delicate skin, I started making this zinc-based cream. It has evolved over the years and now contains many amazing oils that can provide some protection from the outdoors.

This easy-to-apply creamy balm is made with only natural oils and butters - there are NO artificial chemicals or fragrances.

Contains:

Red raspberry seed oil:
Unrefined Avocado oil:
Cold pressed Meadowfoam oil :
Organic Sacha Inchi oil:
Babassu oil:
Carrot seed oil:
Green tea seed oil (camellia seed oil)
Green tea extract:
Shea butter:
Candelilla wax (vegetable-based vegan wax):
Non-nano, uncoated zinc oxide:
lavender essential oil:
palmarosa essential oil:
bergapten-free bergamot essential oil:
sweet orange essential oil:

There are no preservatives in this because it is an anhydrous blend, and therefore does not need a preservative.

The zinc oxide is in a ratio of 20%.

Apply before sun exposure and reapply after 60 minutes, especially when swimming or excessive sweating.

Zinc oxide is also the only active sunscreen ingredient approved by the FDA for infants under six months. Zinc oxide is a better sunscreen ingredient, as it offers the best UVA protection of all current sunscreen chemicals, and titanium dioxide is second best.

Always use common sense when spending extended periods of time out in the sun, regardless of what you use to protect yourself. Remember, the best protection is a full-brimmed hat and proper clothing. Be wise and play well!

*Bonus* This cream has also shown to be great as a rash healer! Use it on baby bums or other rashy areas for anti-inflammatory benefits and soothing protection. I use it on my kids all the time. :) Zinc oxide is a wonderful anti-inflammatory.
