This salve also contains the incredible cicatrizant (skin mender) tamanu oil. Local raw beeswax provides amazing healing and antibacterial properties while it firms up the salve and natural non-GMO vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol) and organic arrowroot finish it off.
The essential oils used in this salve are safe for children and pregnant women. I've added carrot seed, lavender population, Roman chamomile, and helichrysum italicum.
This salve is incredibly rich and healing and a little bit goes a LOOOONG way. Use on abrasions, scrapes, scratches, burns, rough and dry patches, rashes and irritations (including diaper rashes), scaly cracked skin... anywhere you can think of. Do not apply to puncture wounds.

Beeswax provides protection for the skin, while still allowing it to breathe. Beeswax is an emollient and a humectant, which means it draws moisture into the skin and then seals it in. It is an antibacterial and antiviral, while also working as an anti-inflammatory agent. The vitamin A in beeswax works to hydrate your skin and promotes cell reconstruction. Beeswax softens, protects, and heals the skin. It is a remarkable ingredient!
Grapeseed oil is a light, gentle oil that is very easily absorbed into the skin. It has high levels of beta-carotene and vitamins E, D and C. It smoothes skin and gives a youthful appearance due to the essential fatty acids (palmitic, stearic, linoleic). It works as an anti-wrinkle oil, reduces the size and prominence of scars, slows the aging process and can prevent acne breakouts. It can even restore collagen and boost skin health with oligomeric proanthocyanidins flavonoids, which are free radical scavengers.
Rice Bran Oil is known to diminish the effects of aging and delay the formation of wrinkles and fine lines. This is because of Pure Rice Bran oil's high concentrations of tocopherol and tocotrienol. These are forms of powerful antioxidant Vitamin E. When pure Rice Bran Oil is applied directly to the skin, many comment on how great their skin appears and how quickly the oil absorbs into the skin.
Organic Calendula flowers are infused in extra virgin olive oil. The flowers' antibacterial and immunostimulant properties make it extremely useful in treating slow-healing cuts, particularly cuts in people who have compromised immune systems. The herb stimulates the production of collagen at wound sites and minimizes scarring.
Organic Comfrey leaves are an anti-inflammatory and speed wound healing due to the natural concentration of allantoin.
Organic Lavender flowers have antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic and analgesic properties. Not just for relaxing and sleep!
Organic Plantain leaves have been used for insect and snake bites, and as a remedy for rashes and cuts.
Its natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it great for speeding recovery of wounds and for itching or pain associated with skin problems. It grows everywhere, and you can find it all over your lawn or in the woods. If we are outside and someone gets hurt, we can grab some and mash it up with the fingers, and apply it to the sting, scratch or rash.
Organic chamomile flowers are used to soothe and calm irritated skin. Chamomile is excellent for so many uses, from teething pain to headaches, plus for their widely known calming ability.
