Have you ever caught a whiff of something and were immediately transported to a specific time and place? Or reminded of a certain person?
Our sense of smell is powerful, and as the smell receptors in our nose are linked directly to the limbic system in our brain (which is the area responsible for emotional responses). Additionally, when we inhale essential oils, the molecules can travel directly to our brain, where they can influence our body and spirit in a powerful way.
Lava bead jewelry and other personal aromatherapy devices can be used to hold the essential oil for an extended period of time for inhalation. Lava beads are made from lava, as t he pitted surface is ideal for diffusing oils. They are also said to have healing and grounding properties, which is a great added benefit.
Take a drop or two of your favorite oils (Calm or Uplift) on your finger and rub them on the black lava beads. You can rub the residue on your hands and inhale for extra benefit. Additionally, you can also drop the oils directly onto you bead or felt pad (for diffuser jewelry) from the bottle.
The oils will last on your beads for about 2-4 hours. You can use more oil to help it last longer. Because this is not directly applied to your skin, you can add drops again as needed.
These blends are diluted with jojoba oil to 25%, as using essential oils at full strength are not recommended for anyone. Using undiluted oils on your skin can eventually cause sensitivities, even gentle oils like lavender.
This listing is for ONE 5ml bottle of an essential oil blend, mixed with jojoba oil for safety. Select either Calm or Uplift from the drop down menu.
According to National Association of Aromatherapy (NAHA) aromatherapy means the following: “Aromatherapy can be defined as the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit. It is an art and science which seeks to explore the physiological, psychological and spiritual realm of the individual’s response to aromatic extracts as well as to observe and enhance the individual’s innate healing process.”
